I have just bought a 54 plate 206 S, I knew when I bought the car that the fogs were not working as it appeared that water had got into the drivers side fog as there was a lot of corrosion on the lens and the bulb holder/bulb.
I removed the fogs today to spray them and maybe rescue the damaged one but the damaged one is ruined.
Obviously I thought that the fog wasn't working because the bulbs had gone but both bulbs are working fine as I have tested them on a continuity meter.
I have noticed that the front fog symbol on the dash doesn't come on when I twist the stalk, only the rear fog and dash light symbol illuminate.
Have have tested the fuse and that has continuity.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why they might not be working?
Shouldn't the dash light for the front fog come on when I twist the stalk, even if the bulbs had gone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Which switch? The one on the stalk?
I checked the connectors and there doesn't appear to be any damaged cables or corrosion.

Yeah find the connector that runs from it and use a multimeter to check that it operates correctly
