Hello all i am still learning about 206's i have just recently bought a set of GTi calipers and was wondering what size brake discs i need to buy?

was on euro car parts and the vented discs for the 206 1.4 is smaller in diameter to the GTi180

is there any size differnece between the GTi 138 and the GTi 180?

thanks again

Rob

GTI 180 has a 283mm disc the GTI has a 266mm so yes there different, but also have you got early calipers or late calipers as there is a difference in the width too.

there's two different brake disc dimensions for Gti calipers these are 266mm x 20.5mm for early type, 266mm x 22mm for the later.

Then its 283mm x 26mm for gti 180 calipers.

The 138 GTi discs also have a different offset too. You'd have to put the calipers on the car and do some measuring to work out which discs you need.

Do the calipers have little U shaped clips where the pads sit? They are the latest calipers but earlier calipers also use the later thicker discs too. Basically there are 3 types of caliper.

2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

There gonna be vented disc's & the size will either be:

266mm x 20.4mm

OR

266mm x 22mm

You MUST use the correct type disc & matching pads for the calipers in question!
