Earlier my Engine diagnostics warning light came on while i was driving and the car seemed to lose power so i drove home, left it for a while, then started it again and the light didnt come on. Anyone else experienced this and be able to shed some light on what i should do?
Thanks

Never had this myself but I would get a diagnostic done to see if there is anything wrong.

Also it could help people if you put the spec of your car down.

p**sing in to the wind until you get it scanned for fault codes.

Need year & fuel type to see if its EOBD compatible ( cheap to scan )

EOBD then, diagnostic socket is behind the flap to the right of the drivers knee.

Easy / cheap to scan with the right tool, most garages / diy mechanics can scan an EOBD car like this.

Also: Timing belt is every 80k miles or 5 years whichever comes FIRST on your TU3 engine Wink

Nope, wont be the cause of the diagnostic warning light coming on.

Scanning this 206 isnt a problem as it's EOBD, until you read the fault codes its pure guess work BUT if the diagnostic light isnt on now while driving it will just be a stored code so not life & death.

Also get the timing belt replaced as the earliest opportunity.

A few years ago the random illumination of the engine diag light turned out to ne a faulty injector in my case.
