I intend on wiring gti mirror's into the car can anyone help me on which wires does what?

there are 10 wires altogether,

Good luck with that Ian , I was going to fit some 180 mirrors to mine ages ago , just gave it up as a bad job as it was going to be a nightmare , about 4-5 years on the mirrors are still in a box in the spare room .
What did I miss ???

Get a multimeter on it and twiddle about Very Happy

Looks likes it the only way! just though some people would have a rough idea, and i have no idea if its multi plexed or not as it came out of a car at a scrappy and im modifying my car to have them, done it with the windows now time for the mirrors!

Right im guessing 10 wires means 5 each side
so thats:

Heated mirror
right
left
up
down

Just which colour does what?
Very Happy

Will be getting a multimeter on it later

Open it up and look which wire goes to what pins, then I'll tell you

Or tell me the numbers off the wires

the number written on then is 14c2
is there a + and a - on the mirror or is is taken from the electric windows +
If you know what i mean?
