Update on our P0420 issue ....

P0420 was a constant issue with the 206CC .... until recently.

The coil pack started to fail but not permanantly ... it would miss, then pick up again ... I've now replaced the coilpack with 2nd hand one and since then NO P0420 faults.

I'm thinking that the problems we had earlier weren't a cat or lambda problem but an indication that the coil pack was on its way out. It could have been missing intermittently and allowing unburnt fuel into the exhaust, which would throw the lambda. It must have been slight as we didn't notice the mis-fire on any runs until it really started to go. Then the power was right down and it sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders .. which it probably was.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
