My key wont turn in the ingnition barrel... the steering lock is on and i've tried turning the wheel and key, but nothing. Any suggestions ?

Light presure turning the key and then move the steering wheel side to side.

Shake the steering wheel.
Flat bladed screwdriver down the side of the barrel to dislodge the pin

when this happened to me, i had to really give the wheel a shake while jiggling the key. i it felt like it wasnt going to come loose but eventually it did

gf's mother had this all i done was slammed the steering wheel on to lock a few times while turning the key and it turn but then when you take it out it would jam so i got it to turn and snapped the ket in the lock andi fitted push button start and a key entry for turning ignition on and off and used a spare key for the doors
