As the title says, what on earth is this connection used for? (pictured, blue wire)

As you can see on the picture, the wire has been cut of/broken, it was connected to the plug (marked with red) which you can see in the right corner (it's located just over the oil filter). The copper was green from oxidation, so it seems like it's been like this for quite a while Confused Anyway, I fixed it up and put it back on - so now I'm wondering what it's for? Rolling Eyes

Also, if you know what the other connection plug (the one hanging loose) is used for, please tell Laughing

This is where it's supposed to sit...it sits on top of the oil filter housing but it's not the oil pressure sensor. It just seems to be a connector to bridge the loom.

Black trunking? you mean the protective thingy? Razz That's the connector I'm talking about, the other part of the cut off blue wire is inside that, I revised the picture for it to make a bit more sense Rolling Eyes - will see if I can get a better pic today.

The the oil filter is in the top right corner, you can just see the rusty ring and the round shape of it Razz

I was looking at the connector in the centre of thepicture which is definately for the air con pump. Didn't see the little red circles.
