kinda looks like the reverse light switch but i may be way wrong, can you get better pictures up? failing that i'm sure someone else will know

This is where it's supposed to sit...it sits on top of the oil filter housing but it's not the oil pressure sensor. It just seems to be a connector to bridge the loom.

Black trunking? you mean the protective thingy? That's the connector I'm talking about, the other part of the cut off blue wire is inside that, I revised the picture for it to make a bit more sense - will see if I can get a better pic today.

looks like the oil pressure switch to me..... Check yours Ed. The picture is taken from below and makes it a little confusing. I think its the oil filter just above it.

The the oil filter is in the top right corner, you can just see the rusty ring and the round shape of it

The broken wire on the loom, with the engine running touch it to earth & see if the oil pressure warning light flashes up on the instrument cluster

I was looking at the connector in the centre of thepicture which is definately for the air con pump. Didn't see the little red circles.

I edited it after you mistaking, that it was that one So you're not seeing ghosts
But I did also ask about that connector, I guessed it was air-con anyhow
