Have noticed a knocking from the front passenger wheel which i've already been told there is play in the wheels but more recently have noticed that when driving the steering feels like the car is driving on ice, any ideas?

u have a ball joint gone by the sounds of it Smile could be wishbone one or track rod end... causing the wheel to shift slightly as you turn.. could also be a bush i guess, or wheel bearing, but my money is on ball joint
