After I got my clutch & flywheel (new lightened) replaced, my car is now making a rattle/clicking noise while it's in neutral and the clutch engaged. The rattle/click noise stops if I fully depress the clutch pedal (you can hear it in the video). Any clue why it's doing like this suddenly?

(watch in 720p)

My iPod fell down because of vibration, I was like "ooooh s**t" Laughing

Another thing, also after having the two replaced, it's also making a slightly different rattle noise now around 2000-2800 rpm, while driving Confused
This is really making me crazy! The mechanic who did the replacing is a friends stepbrother, so making any complaint to him probably won't do s**t Evil or Very Mad

(recorded with my phone, hence the bad picture)

The quality is kinda low, and the mic in my phone is just as bad, so you can only slightly hear the noise - it's only there the first couple of minutes. The rest is me driving Razz Sidenote: it looked like the car @8:30 wasn't going to stop and drive straight out in front of me, got a bit scared Shocked

I would get it back to them to check.... you will get a lumpier idle with a lightened flywheel if its very light... but there is something not quite right

Yeah, I already knew that with the idling, but the rattle is not related to that. It follows up with the rpm's, with the clutch engaged Confused
The flywheel is supposed to be around 3kg's lighter anyhow, don't know how 'light' that is.

I'm going to write to him, problem is that it was illicit work, so don't have anything on it, he could just say he doesn't care.
I have a feeling that he just wanted to finish it as fast as possible, and just smacked it back in... (His Opel Corsa Super 1600 had broken down, and he needed it for some competition this weekend)
I had to reassemble my K&N air intake kit myself, as he just have shoved it back in after removing it, and it was hanging loose, plus the intake pipe was just put/stored inside the wheel arch lining Confused

I think you need to get the box back out.... I wouldnt drive it till you have checked inside. The clutch pressure plate could be loose, the release bearing could be hanging off its arm or worse case..... The flywheel is loose.

3kg sounds a lot to be removing from the flywheel.

The clutch & flywheel was 14kg together - 3kgs lighter might just have been a sales trick on the ebay auction...
I feel unlucky Sad
