i am in need of a clutch kit and after reading through the forums i realised that maybe not all clutches are equal or maybe i read it wrong. although there are only 3 to look at mainly valeo, sachs and luk, im wondering what difference could i expect if i fit a valeo clutch kit, a sachs or a luk.

found a few ebay sellers selling valeo kits and luk kits for quite similar in price.
price aside, what can i expect from the performance? change in biting point height? etc? or hell should i just grab any of the 3 and get over with it Surprised

well they way i looked at it was the oem one is valeo and they only seem to last around 50-60k and they seem to have problems with the thrust bearing chewing its way tho the pressure plate.
so i have gone with a LUK one to see if it will fair any better.
the feel from it is nice and its also nice and light.

Normally caused by operator error / riding the clutch pedal.

Who knows how the previous owner treated it Wink

Not in a 206, but I can say in my civic coupe, the only one that lasted pass the forecourt of the garage was the sachs one, the oem one didn't even get out the door before it was spat out taking the gearbox with it. Please note it was mr clutch that did the work, so not me fitting it dodgely. Personally I would go with an uprated sporty one.

it's all because of the driving instructor fault.

i always got told not to put into neutral but to hold the clutch down when waiting for light.

not saying i did that to my pug; at least my old clutch last over 70K.
