Afternoon all.
This morning the 206 failed its MOT for a seized rear brake load sensor. Does anyone have any tips or ideas for unseizing it? can it be done while still attached to the car, or do I need to remove it to work on?
If I cant get it to unseize, any idea how much a replacment would be?
Shes a 2000 1.4 8V Petrol, with disks up front and drums on the rear.
She has sat for 15months of the road, so I think its seized due to lack of use
Thanks for any help received
Paul

the load sensingvalve is around the read right wheel. ( iir) get some magic wd40 and squirt plenty on, leave it to soak for ten min then try giving it a wiggle. if it starts loosening up wiggle it some more until it wiggles freely

Is the spring exposed and easy enough to get at?

Just jack up rear offside, take off your wheel and u should able to see it. The section that normally seized will be the metel part attaching the spring. Spray a lot of wd-40, clean it up with wire brush and unseized the section.
When it is done, ask some one to press on the brake and u should able to see that section moving.
ps: u should able to find it, by following the brake pipes.
