The rev counter in my 1.9 D goes to 7k guessing the clocks have been changed as the redline is at 6 but being diesel is actually only 4.8k. This doesn't bother me but the needles on the clocks have been changed to blue and on the rev counter the needle has fallen to start at 7k and then goes to about 3k revs in total. Thinking about creating some kind of pin for it to rest on as it will work properly is moved round but just falls back. Any other ideas on how to sort this?

Might find the needles are loose on the metal shaft, a small drop of superglue is the fix if they are.

If you do have the loose needle problem then:

Take the cluster out, remove the clear screen & apply a small drop on the end.

Superglue didn't work just made it stick and no longer work :/ if i take the cable out of the unit it wont reset or anything will it? If I can will be able to get rid of any glue in there and hopefully make it wont again.
