Hi all,
I have a slight problem involving part numbers; I am looking on ebay for a replacement pump and all the listings are numbers like #9628973580; however the Peugeot numbers for the power steering pump is 4007Y3 (the one required for my car).
I have rang Peugeot and they have been no help, except to verify that 4007Y3 is the part required. I have contacted the sellers to no avail. I was wondering if anyone knew any cross reference sites...or maybe just knew.
Unfortunately my car is currently 230 miles away from me so looking at my pump is kind of tricky... I think my closest chance is a pump off a V reg GTi...since mine is a W reg GTi but then 2000 was a hectic year for half built 206s.
Thanks in advance.

What part number is it?
My car is a very odd build; the pump itself has, according to the internet, a 137mm pulley... now those on ebay all say 135mm, but I imagine they're measuring and being rough.
The part number given on ebay #9628973580 apparently cross refers to 40074E but that number doesn't exist for 206 GTi on servicebox, apparently it's a XSi part.

A part number isn't shown on the part itself so in the 2nd hand market it's irrelevant. 2mm on a belt pulley won't make any difference (that if there is a difference at all in reality).

It's not the size of the pulley that I'm bothered about given the fact that the tolerances on these things seem to be anywhere from 135 - 142mm; it was more the pump type I was concerned. I've ordered one for 30 odd quid, I'm sure it'll be fine...beats the £365 for a new one.

40074E = 132mm or 137mm pulley
9628973580 = 132mm or 137 mm pulley
