i have noticed every time i go to start my 206 it will stall striaght away , i have to put my foot on the throttle pedal to start , and also it stalls every time i change gear , what could be causing this problem . its had a ecu reset and no change. its a 1.1 2003
if it dont scuff the ruff it aint low enuf

i thort that may be the problem i did try and unplug it and plug it in while it was running and didnt make any diffrence , it will only tick over at 450rpm , ive adjusted the throttle for the time being until i get 5 mins to take it out and give it a clean

toke the icv out gave it a clean and replaced oring. still no change , i pushed the plunger all the way in thinking the engine will rev when first started but it didnt :S is there any way of testing the throttle position sensor? i no when i have my obd scanner plugged in it does read the position throttle ok.

Think the tps is part of the throttle housing. Whats the condition of the throttle housing ie clean/dirty? Have you cleaned the map sensor aswell?

the throttle housing is in good condition , ive never cleaned the map sensor . how do you do that?

when i toke the icv out there was some gunge around the plundger but not anything to worry about

guessing its an 8v? its on the left hand front of the inlet with wires going into it. It should have a couple of screws in it.

yep i no were it is. i just toke it out it did have a bit of oil on it so blew what i could and cleaned as best as possible and still running low idle :S were the ecu has been reset so many times it wouldnt of lost its memory on were to tick over? just a possibilty

Clean everything with carb cleaner mate, not anything like wd40 as its oil based. Doesnt matter how many times you reset the ecu as its written on a chip to put it crudely.

Have you had the plugs out to see what condition theyre in?

the plugs r only a month old as i fitted bosch super 4s but i will check tomorrow , i will clean the map , icv and tps and plugs and see what happens.
just want to add its only started playing up since i filled up with petrol from some were else as i normally go to shell but went to asda this time Shocked

if you can get a know good coilpack aswell, itll rule that out aswell.
