Airbag light should go out by itself when the system is working correctly.
Are you sure everything is connected correctly?
Not fired a pretensioner has it?
If you have PP2000 then you should be able to scan the airbag system for faults & see what it reports.

If everythings connected & ok then the airbag light should go out after its pre start self test.
You got PP2000 to scan it with?

Correct operation of airbag warning light coming very soon to the mot test

Plug the pretensioner back in, measure the resistance then fit a resistor.
Or reconfig the ECU

Go into the Airbag ECU and go to configuration, I think you can change the settings.
If not, go into the BSI and de-activate the ECU

I would be tempted to leave the standard seatbelts fitted & connected even if there not used just for the time being

it can only be 1/3 fit properly as it crashed with the rollcage near the b-pillar
