hi guys,
went to work this morning noticed she was running hotter than normal so decided would check water level at lunchtime, went out to check and on removal of expansion tank cap noticed the water was rather oily, poured some water in to overflow tank to overfill and get rid of oil on surface of water and there was blobs of black what i think is oil coming to the surface, the history few weeks ago heater wasnt working very good so removed matrix cleaned it tested it all tubes getting hot when i poured boiling water in,so replaced in car, decided to flush coolant system .
after running car with flush in dropped all the water and refilled with water and half antifreeze the book says the coolant takes approx 6 litres of water when i filled it up it took nothing like that,so ran it decided if it had a airlock the water level would eventually drop and i could top it up,
when driving car home from work no loss of power temp not as high as this morning, took off rocker box cover and there is no water there checked dipstick the oil is as clear as a bell no emulsifying,so anyone out there have any ideas, thanks
