The other day when I was just driving back from Norwich, my car went all the way into the red and I checked my water levels and they had all gone, the water seems to be going each day now.
I just topped it up with water and I can see that it is losing it bit by bit when the engine is not even running, it looks like it could be spilling out of the expansion tank because there is brown s**t that is over it.
There is no mayonnaise coloured stuff in the oil and there is no oil in the water or oil smell from the water.
Does anyone have any ideas?, someone my girlfriends parents knew said it could be the exhaust gasket? I have never heard of such a thing.
Please Help
Thanks.

I just checked again and no more water has been lost, so it only loses water when it is on.
Thanks Again.

Well its cold, so yea it looks like it atm.
What is that a sign of? Headgasket? Or the gasket I mentioned earlier?
Thanks.

when cars warmed up and still white smoke yer can be signs of headgasket,
had it had happen to me before (white smoke / water comming out of exhaust due to gasket)
this may sound silly but smoke comming from exhaust smelt fresh
a garage will be able to tell you if headgasket has gone quite quick tbh.

@ CD-B3 I do not believe it is that bad.
How much does a Garage charge to do a pressure test on the Head Gasket.
If it has gone, roughly how much does it cost to repair?
Thanks.

Headgasket quotes vary on 206s. Usually between £300 and £800.
