Hi there, looking for some help !

Last week bought an X REG, Peugeot 206 2.0L Diesel HDI, only done 85,000 miles. When I first bought it there seemed to be some vibration from the clutch when I was finding the bite, which I thought was just from the engine, as I've only been used to driving petrol cars, and it was starting to get worse as the days went on, then after just 5 days! Sad while I was driving home from work it started gettin really hard to select any gear and it felt like the clutch pedal was sticking to the floor :(. when I pulled up at home the gear stick wouldnt stay in any gear at all it also feels like the gear stick is popping out from somewhere?? it pops back in but wont stay in gear when the engine is running.

was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what this could be before I go out today and pay for a whole new clutch??

I had a 106 a few years ago where the clutch cable snapped, but this feels diffrent so I dont think its that.

Any help would be much appreciated !

Thanks

Im guessing with the gear stick not staying in gear could be the gear linkages. You can get new ones for around £30-40 for the set of three and fitting will be around £20.

However it does sound like a clutch issue.

My man thinks I should go out and get a clutch as he knows someone who can fit it but I'm worried incase this doesn't solve the problem! I might be better gettin someone to actually come out and have a look at it first
