Hi Chaps,
What kind of socket do I need for my Cylinder Head Bolts?
1.4 GLX
I'm assuming this is a Torx head? What size is it?
why can't they just use bloody Hex bolts lol.
Thanks

you need female torx socket (e-socket)
because torx are higher torque and more resistant from being round off than hex

sure its and e10 or 12...... you can use a smaller bi-hex socket but you have to be very careful not to minge it...

Cheers - hoping to blag one from a friend in a 1/2 inch drive - all our tools atm are 3/4" drive apart from ---- my torque wrench and my breaker bar! So I can't torque the head bolts or remove the eggsauce front pipe at the moment.

Just buy an the appropriate adaptor to fit the sockets to your tools.
It might be worth investing in a 3/8" or 1/2" drive set of tools. Much less cumbersome than the 3/4" inch stuff. Last time I used 3/4" I was working on a DAF CF 45.
