When you have a headgasket problem you have to do the following:
1-Get the head cleaned, got it skimmed only IF it's in the bad shape, but some heads only needs cleaning and get the new gasket fitted.
2-Change the Cambelt (get a cambelt set which includes water pump).
3-Change the thermostat because it might be the cause of the headgasket problem you had.
4-get your radiator flushed and cleaned throughly,to make sure that your coolant cycle running in a perfect way.
5-Add antifreez, new oil,new oil filter and then you are ready, and Off you goooooooooo Very Happy

about the cost,I don't know how much, but when you wanna do something,do it right Very Happy

Mine just cost me £440 including VAT (and a new dipstick....it snapped), that was for everything, head skimming, new cambelt, labour, a full check up in 500 mile.

Could work out cheaper to just throw another TU3 in it, there's plenty of decent lumps around.
