...and could it be why i've an abs light on?

The fault is with the front NS sensor. The ring isn't damaged.

The wire from the sensor goes into a unit near the bulkhead, then this wire comes out of that unit and heads down the side of the battery box. Then it doesn't have a home (that i can see!!)

Any help appreciated before it's new sensor time.

That's not a ABS wire.

Either for the headlamp adjusters if it reaches, or it drops down as is a sensor on the engine.

Thanks for confirming that. It just looks to go to exactly where the abs sensor wire comes from!

I've had the sensor out, the face of it is slightly damaged. Would that cause a fault?

Yes & also ABS sensors need to have the correct airgap from the toothed ring else they wont read correctly.

New sensor is cheap enough from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer.

ABS connector plugs are normally blue on the 206.
