You usually trickle charge a battery when the vehicle it's on isn't being used regularly enough to charge it on a run.

Yeah, exactly. Bikes and high end stuff tend to be stood for long periods.

Those values sounds slightly high.
Are you sure the alternator isnt overcharging the battery?

Hmm, this I can't be sure of. I'll check it again later to make sure.
Would an over charged batter cause it not to start then?
