Apologies if this is in the wrong section but please move if necessary.

I was thinking the other day adding some lights the knight rider car has on the front, the red lights that go side to side. Has anyone fitted soem of these lights and is it easy to do ?

Haha so true but on a more useful note it's easy to do. Just mount a neon that has the function/effect of side to side movement and wire it in. Two wires 12v+ and an earth. You could take it from the battery and fit a switch. There is a gromit behind the glove box that allows wires to be passed through the bulk head. Search amp fitting or how to wire an amp/sub in. It will be under the how to section

I had the idea of using one as a 3rd brake light but I don't think the police would be too impressed.

It would be better if you fitted it so that it came on when you locked the car Wink

Use a relay so it came on when the door pins went down, and fit an ignition wire on the switch so that it didn't come on if you lock your doors when driving Wink

Interior light uses a BSI earth, circuit gets earthed when you unlock/lock, via a capacitor

I thought the 3rd brake light wasn't a legal requirement, so surely it wouldn't matter?
