after trying 3 motor factors for a back box for my grand tourisme...would`not go near the stealers...thought i had eventually got it after they each tried to palm me off with a gti box...

just fitted it there and i dont think that its the right box...rubbers are as far over as they are going and they are just caught on the hangers in no more..weird how a sportex box for a gti sits better (but short) than what is sposed to be a gt box for a gt :@

have even asked bout getting a custom job done on ebay etc...but they require the car to make this...none of them are near me

Buy a standard GTi box then buy the adapter pipe extension from the stealers

Or actually go to the stealers and get the right part. Bet there is not much in the price difference between a dealer and a factor.

i have just got a gti system and backbox and its to long by about 2 inches. so i believe that the backbox i have fitted is for the grand tourisme. i can get part number for you if you want.
