hello,

another problem grrr

since owning the 206 when i change gear there's a thud, only once i changed the gear and foot comes off the clutch and i go to accelerate

happens from 1st-2nd-3rd-4th but not going 4th-5th

goings from 1st to 2nd is the loudest thud

if i change gear really slowly and i mean REALLY slowly it wont thud or press the accelerator a bit when changing gear it hardly thuds

any ideas driving me insane

Possibly an engine mount?
If you keep your hand on the gear knob after you change, does the gearstick kick a bit?

Haha!
Before I got the CC I had a 306 HDI with a knackered engine mount, and it used to thud like yours does.
There is no way to make it stop doing it completley unless you get a new mount.

I didn't get it done!
Traded the heap in to get the 206CC, which went bang last week.

an Engine Mount shouldn't cost too much, depending on which one it is.... The part will be between £10-40 (Think, I am going on the 306 prices) plus an hour or so labour to fit.

sounds like the same thing as me, rear lower engine mount can get an uprated part for about £30 but getting it changed is more of the issue and the drive shafts have to come out and its a bit of a pain so will cost more on labour.
