Hi Guys,
Seems my 1.1 is guzzling petrol, what is the standard miles people are getting to a tank on it. I can get betweem 200-300, but it just seems to guzzle.

Reason your insurance is so high is because its a 206 & your 17.
Insurance companies see those 2 details & know there is a 50 / 50 chance of a total loss claim sooner or later going on past claims for the 206.
If you actually think outside the box & buy a car young people dont normally own / drive you would find the insurance a lot cheaper

I fill mine to the brim, average 50 miles to an 8th of a tank, I can get 350-400 to a tank, thats with a k&n panel filter too. If I thrash it 300-350:)

MrBsi, Why would I want anything but a 206!? Once you've fell in love you never go back!

Owning 1 x 206 is enough for most smart people, there are a lot better & nicer cars to drive / own out there

Everytime after i've borrowed my mum's Mondeo & then get back in to my 206, you realise just how heavy, noisy & clunky 206's are to drive.

My TU3 206 is fine for what it gets used for, when it eventually wants replacing it wont be with another 206 or indead another PSA product, PSA just dont make anything I like anymore.

Anyway back to the thread title. If your getting 200-300 on a tank you've either got a very heavy right foot or a blocked air filter, knackered plugs, suspect MAP sensor or a dodgey fuel gauge.
My 1.4 gets 400+ to the tank so a 1.1 should get the same or better than that !!!!

It depends on how, and where you're driving it. If you're doing a lot of motorway speeds between 60 and 80mph, then the 1.1 will be crap on fuel. If you're just pottering around town then you should be getting more than that.
