Hey guys just bought a 2002 1.9 hdi pug yesterday, first time actually driving one, but ive noticed the gear stick is a bit flimsey, weak. Could i stick on one from maybe a gti or buy a stronger one online, the gear stick feels like its going to bend an break when i change gear

there isnt a 1/9 hdi, its either a 1.9 standard diesel or a 2.0 hdi

Is there anyway i can upgrade the gear shifter on my pug? i find the gear stick very light, does all 206's come with the standard shifter? or could i maybe make one or buy a thicker smaller one? probably wishful thinking but sure no harm in asking, cheers
