Does anybody know how the handbrake cables are removed from the rear brake calipers?

I've disconnected mine from the lever, pulled them through from inside the car but they are stuck in the caliper. Where the cable slots in the caliper there seems to be a little sleeve on the outer cable. Has anybody managed to remove it? Otherwise how do the cables come out? I don't want to damage them as they are getting refitted.

Right I've ordered some Plus Gas to help shift them. I don't need to remove them but I'd like the out of the way when the calipers and axle get removed.
It will also help shift the torsion bars which are a little tight despite being covered in copper grease but they've been in there over 7 years.

When i had axle exchanged, they removed the brake cables and abs lines, which made the plastic fitting which are on the axle and trailing arms useless. I think there fitted like cable ties, so once there off there useless, can you get replacments of these parts? Mine are just cable tied on, but it does the job, I know you'll like your car to be OEM!

Dealer sells the clips on the arms yes. I am thinking of replacing mine. I am definately replacing the metal pipe and cable guides and brackets too.
