hey guys and gals.
got one here for you , 206 started missing as i thought.
usual checks plugs , put new ones in. coil rail tested fine.
injectors tested fine. compression test 1,2,3,, 210psi 4 140psi
looks like i need to replace rings.
what i need to know is how long to strip down . and cost etc.
or i am thinking replacing the engine , might be an option .
when engines get replaced do they then need to go to the garrage to be re jiged to match the ecu module. regards guys

did you do the compression test more than once? Wet & dry as well?

Low compression in one cylinder from a single dry test doesn't necessarily mean piston rings.

Rings on a TU, they never fail.

Chuck another TU3 lump in it if you are sure yours is that knackered.

Could just be a valve, be worth taking the head off to check before throwing another lump in there.
