Could be, gonna have to put a code reader on to confirm. The car went into 'limp home mode' as well by the sounds of it, so don't drive it till its sorted.

sounds like coil pack or injectors! I had the same thing. If its the coilpack then check the spark plugs aswell, NGKs can nacker coil packs on Pugs

You got the anti-pollution fault coming up? Get it code read. Mine was two nailed spark plugs causing a 'major misfire' according to the reader.

ok i think it is the coil pack i remember sumthing like this happening before on my renault.
Just started it this morning and no light drove for abit seemed fine however it did stall when it shouldnt while reversing.
Do you think it woud be safe to drive home?
I do have breakdown so if i did get stuck i could get towed!
Or do i need get it sorted asap
Another thing it had a full service before i got it so surely the spark plugs shouldve been changed?

Depends on what lpugs they are, if a standard service should've been changed but if iridium then possibly not.

Sounds like the injector problem I had. Does it feel as though your car is running on 3 cylinders/ lack of acceleration power? Then it's probs the coilpack or injector(s)...get it scanned and the code fault will come up straight away.

Mine did this. Pull out each injector individually. It will run worse than what it is now when you start with each individual one disconnected. When you disconnect one and it runs the same, thats the failing injector.

A new injector cost me £65, just to give you an idea!

I.C.E killed my car.

That is a good price, I had to pay £100 here in Birmingham...that's including garages time to fit it as well

Mine did this right after my head gasket was done, turned out to be the coilpack, is your engine shaking as though its struggling to idle?
