Hi guys,

I have a major problem with my 02 plate 1.4lx 206.

I went over a speed bump on saturday night (at around 10mph) and my engine just completely cut out, I pulled over at side of the road and tryed to restart the engine, but nothing happens, it doesnt turn over and not even the ignition come on.

The mileage indicator comes up but thats all that comes up on the dashboard. The battery is fine and it is powering up all fuses. The RAC man came out and told me there is no power going to the ignition. I have checked all fuses physically and earth cable on gearbox. I have also checked wiring to see if anything has come unplugged and all looks ok.

When i turn my lights on my sidelights will work and high beam will work. However dipped headlights wont work. Also on the centre console screen it comes up 'ECO MOD'.

Does anybody know what this fault could be?

I know it is not battery or fuses.

If anybody can help me it will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Luke

What year is the car? Could be the inertia switch.

Its a 2002 year, 02 plate. Whats the inertia switch? Is that the red button? If so i have checked that lol.

As you have no ignition and no starter then I think I'd check for power at the ignition switch itself and see if you get power out when you turn the key. If there's no power at the switch then trace it back to the battery to find where the open circuit lies

Check ALL the connector plugs on the back of the com2000 unit, BSI unit & in the BM34 unit under the bonnet.

It sounds like a loose connection somewhere.
