Cam belt is now due to be changed for the first time, and I just wondered how long the average garage would take to do it? What's the average cost from a normal garage (rather than the stealers?)

Cost is about £160 without water pump a bit more with. And as for time I would say a few hours depending on the skill of who's doing it.

It is probably a good idea to get the pump done too isn't it?

Yes. Might as well get it done while they are there because If it decides to go in two weeks time it will cost double as everything will have to come apart again.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case.. an extra couple of quid now will save a lot more in the future!
