Hello all,
Looking to replace the PAS pump on a 1.4 HDi as I'm sure it's the source of some odd engine noise. Having had a bit of a look around it appears there are three or so unique designs across the 206/C3 (HDi) range.
Before I start hunting for one I could do with knowing whether any old 206 PAS pump will work, or whether I have to get a like-for-like version to the one currently on the car?
Many thanks,

Can you tell me your VIN number please?
I might have one that fits your vehicle

You need part number 4007 LK or 4007 XF
It needs to come off a DV4TD (1.4HDi) which is a '57plate or older.
Unfortunately the one I have will not fit.

As far as i was aware most are interchange-able?
But before replacing it, start the car up and place a metal bar (pref with a plastic end) on the pulleys main bolt that doesnt move and place your ear to the other end of the bar
Listen for any abnormal noises, this will show you if one of the pulleys is debonding/dying rather than just attempting and replacing them willy nilly

Looked on AutoData, TecDoc and ServiceBox, the 1.4HDi isn't interchangeable with anything else. Must have different mounts to the others

Well you can get one from the 206+....but I don't think you'll be finding one of them in a scrap yard in a hurry
