Hey guys,
I fitted some new speakers in the doors. But now I have a problem with the passengers side door. The central locking for that door has stopped working. When I was installing the speaker in that door, I heard something disconnect from inside the door, where the lock is...but I can't really see inside the door to find out what it could of been...my guess is that whatever has become unattached, has something to do with the central locking...
The door still locks manually with the key...it just wont lock/unlock remotely when I push the button on the remote...
Any idea's what I should be searching for?
Cheers
Rob.

Take the door apart and look for what may have disconnected. More than likely pulled something out while working on it, Either way you are going to need to get in there to have a look.

The connector to the door solenoid is likely to have been disconnected.
Time to take that doorcard back off. Lol

You really mean " as i was yanking on the wiring loom I pulled the plug of the central locking motor "
Top tip:
Before you put a trim panel back on, check all the electrics that are located behind that panel are still working

Where abouts is the solenoid? I can barely see anything inside the door because there isn't any openings really...I'm just feeling my way around in there blindly...lol
Kinda reminds me of my first girlfriend actually...

Its part of the door latch.

Well I've checked everything and it all looks good. Nothing was disconnected and I think the sound I heard was just the lock falling out of place becasue the foam that is supposed to hold it in place, was ripped...
But all the cables etc look fine...
So all I can think of is the central locking unit is buggered...unless there is something else to check...
The fuse is fine...the drivers door locks and unlocks fine with the remote...

The metal pole that connects to the little "thing" that sticks out at the top.
Does it move freely? I stuck mine using sound deadening by accident and had the same problem.
But I do remember there is something sticky there.

the metal pole meaning the lock itself?
If that's what you're referring to...there is nothing blocking it or stopping it from moving freely...

Take the doorcard off and and remove the white insulation.
Use a torch and have a look down the inside of the door.
Chances are you have knocked out one of the rods that control the latch.

done that. everything looks fine...
When I press the central locking button on my remote, the unit doesn't even try to lock...almost as if no signal is going to it...
So I'm thinking it's completely dead...

Have you tried disconnecting the plug for the solenoid and reconnecting?
Have you checked your fuses as well?
