Flashing airbag light and no horn.

My air bag light has been flashing for a few months now.

I was told on here, by numerous people that it means the air bag has become disconnected, but this morning my horn stopped working.

I had the steering wheel off today, and inspected the cables, and secured them as much as I can with insulating tape, checked the fuses, and still nothing, and flashing light.

Is there anything else I can check, or should I just replace the wire spool thing...which I did last year when mine snapped when removing the steering wheel, maybe I bought a dud.

It's not uncommon to get the horn wet considering its position, which happened to me. Had to get it replaced. Can't comment on the air bag though but yours sounds more like an electrical fault than a physicality. I remember the horn itself being a right b*tch to get at so might be the last thing you want to check.
