Sounds like the release bearing is pushing through the clutch springs on the pressure plate. Possibly some broken springs!
Life at full throttle...

my clutch of my 180 is bloody stiff. had mild judder on 1st but I work around that problem by giving the engine more gas for a split second longer before clutching into 2nd.

thought I needed a new clutch so I asked the master mechanic on my last service. tells me my clutch is fine and there is no need to change. anyhow the stiffness irritates me, I'm wondering if spending money for a new clutch by Peugeot would solve the stiffness. would it?

ohh! there was this time where my clutch sounded like there was metal bits crunching or breaking off when moving off from stationary. happened only a few times on 1 particular day but has been silent ever since.

do I need a new clutch? stiffness and some crunching noise?

When did you last get your gearbox oil changed?

Within the last month.
it was a major service so I was hoping it would clear up my problems, though it was remotely possible. anyhow car is smoother but clutch still bothers me.

just read your thread you posted in February; sounds painful! when my clutch bearing was going my car was making a chirping sound... hated every moment of driving! got it sorted now and I am loving it again
