Just bought a valeo coil pack to replace the sagem one that I found in the car, after reading on here there is a condensor that can be fitted to the coil pack to help protect the ECU (6555K9).

I phoned a few dealerships and one of the parts guys said I should get this adapter loom as well. Apparently when they fit the condensor they also use this other part.

Its £17 though - any idea why it's needed and if I should bother?
