Plenty of boxes around in scrappys. Just make sure you get the right one for the passenger driveshaft there's two different lengths. also there's two different types of gear linkage as well. One the rods clip on top the other clips from the rear.

Im in the middle of putting my 1.4 back together. 3rd gearbox and a new engine this time seeing as when the diff blew itself to bits last time and pulled the box away from the engine ripped part of the block where it bolts into with it.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

I thought I gave mine some abuse when I first passed but someone seems to trash theirs every week.

Scrap yard for sure boxes on ebay are a rip-off.

Could you still move it slightly before it totally went? I only trashed the planet gears in mine it was cheaper to throw some new ones in.

Can get a new box for £120+vat from local scrappy, Jones of Devizes, which is where new trashed cars go, so most of the parts off them are pretty reliable. Good price? What am I looking at to get it fitted price wise? And should I be replacing anything else at the same time?

May as well chuck a new clutch on while changing box. Obviously you will need gearbox oil.
