Is it only coming on since its had the alternator put on? If so could be a loose connection on one of the wires.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

Ye it wasn't on before, apparently it's charging the battery fine and all that, so maybe an earth strap or something?

I was going to suggest the belt might be loose, but if its still charging the battwery then it might not be.

I was thinking that but there's no squeezing or anything, only other thing I can think of is the bushes in the alternator are shot but I hope it's not that Sad

Seems like I've found the problem! My so called 'new' alternator seem not to work -.- getting a reading of 12.25 when the car is of and 11.75 when it's on, in guessing that's why the battery light comes on when it goes above 4500rpm because it's dragging to much power, joys! Looks like I need a new alternator Sad again!
