Hi All,

I'm new to the 206 world so will be needing some guidance as I get to know the car, so here is my first question,

I have a 1.6 petrol 206 and when in neutral I put my foot on the accelerator to rev the engine there's quite a big delay before it picks up. It does this while driving as well.

If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.

Cheers,
Dave

Are these fly by wire electronic throttle or good old fashioned cable throttle?

Motorised TB I imagine for a 1.6litre CC. It will never respond like a motorbike engine...

Yes its the electronic throttle, no cable.

I don't expect motorbike crispness, just for the engine to repond when I press the throttle pedal.

It makes it tricky when needing to pull off quick at a juction and just as tricky when parking in a tight spot, with lots of throttle and clutch action.

Is there any history of problems with the wired throttle?

Cheers, Dave
