Jamie did. Guy who supercharged his car then couldn't afford the insurance, so insured it as standard and the insurance company read his project thread on here and void his insurance.

Next minute, he deleted the project thread.

yeah i think you would have to really be into your car to waste money like that, to me it would be a waste but to other people they probably wouldnt think twice, for the title "fastest 206" on the road just to show off, with that money i personally would buy a nice honda s2000 fking love them cars

Insurance companies use forums to advertise, offering discounts of you quote the forum.
1. Easiest way to advertise.
2. Easiest way to check if people are still within their policy. Don't forget that they won't refund a cancelled policy.

Lee - that the Jamie from Brum? Blue 180?

No one on this site/no-one who owns a 206 would have the cash to buy that anyway lol

:-/ says who?

Could you afford it?

Would you buy it?

I've certianly got the cash, but since I've just bought a house, I can think of a few more things I'd rather spend afew k on, such as a new/faster car lol or as the mrs calls it, a new kitchen lol

Personally, no, I couldn't afford it.
Would I buy it? No. Because there are better options. Wink

I can think of at least 4 members who have spent that sort of money on performance and a lot more who have spent that on aesthetical mods.

Blank plate or not, most of the cars on here stand out from standard 206's, isn't that why we put money into our cars? Legal or not, they still attract the attention of the boys in blue, just ask Razpulsedj

Some of us aren't cash strapped first car owners running cars on a tight budget.
After my experience with Ecosse I wouldn't spend another penny with them. Chances are the price they quote will have increased when you pick the car up.

2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

If we're not all cash strapped, why are most of us driving 206's? (with the exception of the Jag, SEAT and VXR)

I remember you telling me about that. Most people don't realise how serious it is, or indeed that it is actual fraud.
