Recommended to sand first? Then prime paint lacquer? Or do I actually need to sand? Martin.

Well you don't need to sand, but if you want a good finish then it's advised you do Wink

Make sure you clean them tidy as if there's any silicone or oil the primer wont take. Best to use wet and dry paper coarse and fine grades.

When you you say sand I expect you mean with sand paper that's a no no its too course you need to key the surface with either red 3m scotch bright or mirker scotch .... The paint will sink over time n all the scratches will show through and look a right dogs dinner if sand paper is used ... Plastic prime wet and wet prime then colour then laquer I'd advise anyone to use a spray gun to do it properly but not everyone has a spray gun !!
