My old lighter socket has been removed and I have bought a new one but I have no idea how to wire it in and where I wire it to, help please? Hopefully with pics and a nooby step by step, thanks

what new lighter have you bought does it have a light?

dead simple,

3 wires from the old cig are

earth

power

light,

if there isnt a light on the new cig then just wire up the 2 wires job done.

Cheap halfords one, ye it's got a light, the old lighter socket just has a blue wire, nothing else, I need to fit this new socket ASAP as have to use satnav in a few days and have no way to charge it lol

There was, the old socket did have a brown wire floating around but it disappeared, there is just the blue one left, the new lighter has a couple of wires with it, I'll try upload some pics from phone tomorrow
