My wife's 206 is described in the registration document as model type version 2akfwf. No mention of the original model name. When I try to insure it I come up with a list of models for a 5 door 206 with petrol engine of 1360cc as follows:
206 1.4I (02 ON) SW XT 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (02 ON) SW XL 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (02 ON) 5DR LOOK 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) FEVER 5DR 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) SW S 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) SW STYLE 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) 16V QUIKSILVER 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) 5DR S 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) 5DR SE 90 16V 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03 ON) 5DR VERVE 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (03-03) 5DR ENTICE 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (98 ON) LX 5DR 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (98 ON) GLX 5DR 1360cc 5DR
206 1.4I (99 ON) ROL GARROS 1360cc 5DR
Is it possible to tell which one it is? There's nothing in the log book or the registration document. Nothing anywhere on the car body or under the bonnet that I can find. I spent a couple of hours searching on Google and in this forum but couldn't find an answer. Hope someone out there can help...
Thanks

You could enter your reg on an insurance comparison website and it should give you the specific model, or enter chassis number on service box and it gives you all the characteristics the car left the factory with. Not sure if that gives you the exact model, but a bit of searching around in there will lead you to the answer.
On the information you have given, you have a 206 5 door 1360cc 8 valve engine with 5 speed manual gearbox with emission control L4
Not much use but it's the best I can do
You can probably discard the SW models if it's not an estate. A picture would discount a couple of the other models, which would take you a fair way closer than you are now. As far as I know, the Verve and Entice left the factory with the names on the doors, but a few people take the badges off so that might be of no use.
