Hey guys
So some of you will no that I have been having problems with my eml light.
As of last post I had the post cat sensor extended with a mil eliminator fitted. This eliminator is meant to change the signal to be within an acceptable range for the ecu. However this did not work
Since then I have replaced the sensor with a new one and kept it intact no lengthening or elimators fitted. I have left it out of the exhaust and put it into a anodised heat sleeve so it is protected and can read the air in the engine bay not the exhaust. This would obviously mean a cleaner reading.
Even with doing this I still get the eml light with a P0138 code ( positive short circuit on o2 sensor)
So Could it now be something so simple as a fuse? Where is the fuse for the o2 sensors located? The engine in question is the et3 1.4 16v vvt.
Any help would be great I need to get this light sorted once and for all

If the code is right, one of the wires (+ve ) is shorting to earth.
Should be a simple fix, unless the (dummy) sensor has had it.

Sensor is brand new today so can't beleive it could be the wiring on that?

hmm.....
you sure about the fault code reading?
i though P0500 is Vehicle Speed Sensor A Malfunction

Pretty sure it was that but I had the speed sensor code to it might have been p1387 or something I cam check tomorrow I have the print out. Either way one was deff the positive short circuit one

as for the fuse, the O2 sensor share fuse with ignition coil, injectors and fuel pump so you can rule that out

Just told my reader and it says:
P0138: O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
So it's not a short. Maybe it's getting an incorrect reeading due to being in mid-air.
Or the sensor is shafted.

It can't be the sensor as it is literally brand new bought yesterday lunch time?!
Is there any one in milton Keynes that can have a look see if I'm missing something?

Ok after researching the fault, the suggestion is to replace the short to the battery voltage. Any one know how to do this??

well high voltage means it is running rich.
you sure your lambda sleeve is good and not leaking?
could try to warp it up and see if things change?
