Hi all, I was just wondering if anybody knew if you could fit a 306 gti6 gearbox onto a 206 gti 180???? If so is it much trouble and has anybody else done it???? Thanks guys. Jon

Not really, even if you could get the box on the engine you loose full lock on a 206

It would work if you put the hole gti-6 engine and box in Or what about the gti180 doesn't that have a 6th gear?

I thought the gti 180 had a 6 speed box, might be wrong tho. Lee did test drive one so he should no.

Nope, 180's run a 5 speed box, almost sure it's the same box as the 138 could be wrong on that one though. No 206 ever had a 6 speed box out the factory. Even if you put the whole GTi-6 lump and box in you loose full lock on the 206 due to the way the box actually sits.

there is a very nice BE4/6 box that can be fit with TU lump without any issue

The 6 speed gearbox from the 306 GTI 6 is a pointless moddification for a 206.

In this case 6 gears isnt better then 5 Wink

Even the 306 gti'6 looses full lock, i hated mine when i needed to turn around. 3 point turn not a chance, lol
