Any hints or tips to help me see the level of my coolant in my 180 would be greatly appreciated - I can't see nothing through that bottle!

Open the cap,and get a light inside it,and it will be clear because you will see the color of the coolant

tbh mate there's not alot you can do, i have the same issue in my gti 137, maybe if you clean the outside of the coolant tank or do what i've considered and that is have an alloy header tank with sight glass fitted

Us GTi owners all have the same problem mate. Pain in the ass, espc. if you've had a water leak for the past 2 years like I have.
