I have a lot oil coming from around the head gasket. The rubber is cracked around the corners and all around it there is oil. Do I need to replace the rocker cover? If so is it an easy job?

Torque the rocker cover fixings correctly on refitting else you will bend the rocker cover ruining it & also cause a nice new oil leak

When torquing the bolts back on how do I know when to stop? I hear it a lot but not sure will it require a special tool? Lol

Borrow a torque wrench OR dont go mad with the ratchet.

Replace the gasket, and borrow a torque wrench, you can get the data of torque from Auto Data, this is the best you can do,but get the original gasket ,not the replacment one.

torque on cam cover is next to nothing - about 15lft/lb I think. If you can't get a torque wrench, tighten using one finger on the ratchet or spanner and work from center. start finger tight and then tighten each a little at a time. and make sure the mating surface is totally clean - brake cleaner is good...

Am I right in thinking that to just replace the rubber seal it's more than just removing the two visible bolts take of the cover then bolt it back on? I have yet to look I'm my Haynes about this. Lol

The oil filler cap you have on it isn't a standard part. It looks like a universal one that may not be fitting correctly. A proper one won't set you back a lot.
