Hi,
I have recently bought a GTi 180 and have a really bad knocking coming from the front, seems to be passenger side. Have checked all components underneath, drop links are brand new, cant find anything loose. If i cruise along at around 2500-3000rpm and feather the clutch bite point it causes the knock louder. It also vibrates quite a lot when pulling away at lower revs. When driving all you can feel through the pedals is knocking but this smooths out if driving faster like on a motorway etc. Have checked engine mounts, gearbox mounts, exhaust etc and cant find anything. I'm starting to think maybe this is gearbox related? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Steve
