Hiya guys, right. I'll explain.

I was leaning into my car yesterday to pull the handbrake up, my knee (long on going problem) gave way and I fell, ofcourse I was holding onto the handbrake at the time and I ripped the handbrake right up, it made a kind of loud click noise and now the handbrake is slack. Very slack. It kind of wobbles about freely when not applied at all.

It can go nearly 90 degrees up, it still clicks into places, can count about 14-15 clicks. it stops the car rolling away still (only just), but its weak.

Normally it would only go about 6-7 clicks, and felt nice and tight. And no chance of the car moving at all when handbrake was applied.

Any ideas?

Cheers lads, Mark.

Ok, cheers lads, so if I buy a new cable from eurocarparts for like £13, it goes from the handbrake down the car, splits into two, one for each rear brake?

Or do I have to buy 2 cables?

Sorry, complete noob on cars Sad

For the 206 handbrake setup you need 2 cables, they are both attached to the bracket behind the handbrake lever.
